Actress Zhang Ziyi has joined the cast of “Godzilla: King of Monsters” in a “major franchise role”! The film, which also stars Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sally Hawkins, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance, Bradley Whitford, Aisha Hinds, Anthony

Ramos, Randy Havens and Ken Watanabe, is directed by Michael Dougherty and hits theaters on March 22nd, 2019. The film is co-written by Dougherty and Zach Shields. Ziyi will play “a significant figure within the covert Monarch organization”. According to Variety, Ziyi’s role is one that is major to the overall Monsterverse - with her character set to appear in future films as well.
