Jack Lowden has joined the cast of the period drama
Deadline is reporting that actor Jack Lowden has joined the
cast of the period drama “Mary Queen of Scots” as the film’s male lead.
The film, which also stars Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan, is directed
by Josie Rourke and is expected to go into production “sometime later
this year”. “Mary Queen of Scots”, which is written by Beau Willimon,
“is based on the true story of Mary Stuart (played by Ronan)’s attempt
to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth I (played by Robbie), Queen of
England, only to find herself condemned to years of imprisonment before
facing execution.” “Lowden will take on the role of Lord Darnley”. What
do you think of Jack Lowden joining “Mary Queen of Scots”? Let me know
