Phil Lord and Chris Miller recently met with Warner Bros. about potentially direct “The Flash”

TheWrap is reporting that Phil Lord and Chris Miller recently met with Warner Bros. about potentially direct “The Flash”. This comes after the duo were fired from the Young Han Solo standalone film due to “creative differences”. The report claims that Lord and Miller met with WB execs during a shooting hiatus for Han Solo once Rick Famuyiwa exited the project last year. It appears Robert Zemeckis is still the frontrunner to helm the project (and rightfully so - I mean come on, the dude made “Back To the Future”), although it is unknown if Lord and Miller’s recent Han Solo departure would effect their chances of helming “The Flash”. Also in contention to direct “The Flash” is “Kingsman”’s Matthew Vaughn and “Evil Dead”’s Sam Raimi (Marc Webb was in contention as well, but passed on the project). Lord and Miller previously wrote a treatment for “The Flash” in 2015, although the film received a page-one rewrite by Joby Harold earlier this year. “The Flash” will star Ezra Miller in the titular role, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West and Billy Crudup as Henry Allen.
