Warner Bros. is developing a sequel to the thriller “The Accountant”

Deadline is reporting that Warner Bros. is developing a sequel to the thriller “The Accountant”; with Ben Affleck, director Gavin O’Connor and writer Bill Dubuque in talks to return. The 2016 original, which stared Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffery Tambor and John Lithgow, centered on “a math savant with high-functioning autism who works as a forensic accountant and un-cooks the books for unsavory criminal organizations under the glare of law enforcement.” Jon Bernthal is also expected to return for the sequel; though no offer has yet to be made to the “Punisher” actor.
