STX Entertainment has announced a release date for their
upcoming Melissa McCarthy-led noir comedy "The Happytime Murders". The
film, which will be directed by Brian Henson (son of legendary puppeteer
Jim Henson), will hit theaters on August 17th, 2018. “The Happytime
Murders”, which was written by Todd Berger, Erich & Jon Hoeber and
Mellissa McCarthy, "is set in the underbelly of Los Angeles where
puppets and humans coexist. Two clashing detectives, one human and one
puppet, are forced to work together to try and solve the mystery of who
is brutally murdering the former cast of 'The Happytime Gang', a beloved
