Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner possibly writing the upcoming “Toni Erdmann” remake

The Tracking Board is reporting that “Girls” showrunners Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner are in talks to write the upcoming English remake of “Toni Erdmann”. The film, which will star Kristen Wiig and Jack Nicholson, follows “a practical joking father who tries to reconnect with his hard working daughter by creating an outrageous alter ego and posing as her CEO’s life coach.” Wiig, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are attached to produce. “Toni Erdmann” has yet to attach a director or land a release date.
