The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that actress Alice Braga
has joined the cast of has joined the cast of "X-Men: The New Mutants".
The film, which also stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie
Heaton, Henry Zaga and Blu Hunt, is directed by Josh Boone and hits
theaters on April 13th, 2018. "The New Mutants" "will focus on the
angst-driven adventures of a diverse group of teens that include Native
American Danielle Moonstar, Scots girl Wolfsbane, Brazilian ladies man
Sunspot, a Kentuckian code-named Cannonball and Russian teen Magik. Also
in the mix will be an alien named Warlock." "Heaton will play Sam
Guthrie, also known as Cannonball, a teen who propels himself into the
air (…like a cannonball) and is invulnerable while doing so. Taylor-Joy
is playing Illyana Rasputin, code-named Magik, a girl who has learned
sorcery and uses teleportation discs to travel. Williams is Rahne
Sinclair, aka Wolfsbane, a girl struggling to reconcile her religious
beliefs with her power to turn into a wolf. Zaga will play the mutant
Sunspot. Braga will play Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a medical doctor who has the
ability to generate a protective bio-field around herself but also has
more going on than she lets on. Actress Rosario Dawson was previously
attached to the role of Cecilia Reyes and it is unknown why Dawson
